For both new construction and remedial construction, McGinnis Chen Associates, Inc. can provide coordinated sets of technical drawings, details, and written specifications for each waterproofing and building enclosure system necessary to achieve a watertight design. MCA can act as the Architect of Record for the building enclosure systems for the project. MCA works closely with the Prime Architect on the project and various other design team consultants to coordinate the waterproofing details with the Architects, Mechanical, Structural, and Landscape requirements.

MCA is proficient in both AutoCAD and Revit and can work with the prime Architect’s drawings in these two digital platforms. MCA has a Construction Specifications Institute certified specification writer on staff and is experienced with CSI and MasterSpec specifications.
Through MCA’s extensive experience, MCA understands that quality waterproofing design depends on the details. Most leaks occur at penetrations and perimeter terminations; MCA prides itself on focusing on the details to seal these high-risk locations against water infiltration.

MCA also works closely with Manufacturers to verify that the project-specific details and specifications provided for the building enclosure systems are covered under the Manufacturer’s warranty requirements.
