Built in 1974 100 Van Ness was the original AAA headquarters of San Francisco. The Project included repurposing the original 370,000-square foot building as a 399-unit apartment building with ground floor retail, 118 parking spaces and a 12,000-square foot rooftop residents’ playground. Building features a 29th floor roof deck with fire pits, lounges, a dog walk, hot tub, lawn, plants and trees. Exterior improvements included new cladding systems, fenestration, and sidewalk waterproofing.

MCA provided Peer Review services for street level waterproofing over the basement, 2nd floor courtyard, 29th floor green roof, 30th floor roofing and interior spaces. MCA also provided evaluation of the building enclosure remedial work, including terminations and transitions of various waterproofing systems. MCA also provided Construction Contract Administration services for the installation of the waterproofing and building enclosure elements.
