50 Fremont

Built in 1983, 50 Fremont is a 43-story skyscraper rising over 600 feet above San Francisco’s Financial District and South of Market neighborhoods. The high-rise consists of travertine clad precast concrete panels and aluminum frame windows which, soon after the building’s completion, proved problematic in the building envelope.  MCA was contracted to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the numerous leaks resulting from cracks in the travertine panels, failed sealants, and window installation mechanisms.
