Jr. Architect/Engineer

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Jr. Architect/Engineer with experience in waterproofing of various building envelope systems.  A Candidate will contribute to the development of construction documents, details and specifications for remedial design and new construction consultation.  The Candidate will assist with and conduct forensic field investigations, construction monitoring and condition assessments to produce technical reports for clients.  This posting is for a full-time permanent employee position.

Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 2-5 years of experience within the construction industry specifically within the building and/or building envelope sector however recent graduates with intern experience producing CD packages are also encouraged to apply. Familiarity with roofing and waterproofing system design, installation and materials in commercial, institutional, and multi-family buildings is preferred.  Curtain wall, stucco, metal panel and other building cladding experience is also desirable. 

Qualifications

  • Degree in Architecture or Engineering from accredited university
  • Registered Architect or Engineer (a+)
  • LEED Accredited Professional (a+)
  • AutoCAD (required), Revit proficiency (a+)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and Bluebeam Review skills
  • Experience in writing specifications  (a+)
  • Experience with building envelope systems
  • Construction Documents experience 
  • Construction Contract Administration experience (a+)
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Organized, detail oriented candidates who can multi-task and follow through
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
